Job summary

HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding division seeks a dedicated role to plan, develop, and coordinate in-house product training for field personnel and customers. You will gather information, prepare materials, and craft course content to ensure effective training delivery.

As experience grows, you will revise lesson plans to reflect evolving requirements and maintain current technical information, leveraging Microsoft Office tools and welding expertise in a shipbuilding context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years of exempt experience; Master's degree and 1 year of exempt experience.
• Equivalent combinations allowed: NNS Apprentice School graduate; High school and 5 years manufacturing/shipbuilding/military experience; Navy Nuclear Power School graduate.
• 3 years of relevant manufacturing, shipbuilding, trade and/or military experience as an alternate to the degree.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers.
• Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content and criteria for evaluating training effectiveness.
• Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and keep technical information up to date.
