Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking a Weld Trainer/Technician to lead the welder training program, conduct on-the-job coaching, and administer AWS welder qualifications at our Tulsa plant.

The role supports process improvement, quality, and safety while collaborating with operations, quality, and engineering teams. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years in weld manufacturing, and the ability to obtain CWI/CWE credentials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum five years of experience in a weld manufacturing environment.
• Must know GMAW, GMAW-C, GMAW-P, FCAW-G, SMAW, SAW.
• Knowledge of oxyfuel and plasma cutting operations.
• Commitment to a safe learning environment for trainees and operators.
• Ability to obtain CWI and CWE accreditations and work with AWS standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead welder training program and on-the-job coaching.
• Administer welder qualifications per AWS standards.
• Assist in improving, maintaining, and troubleshooting welding processes.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, safety, and engineering teams.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate training topics and materials and certify trainees.
