Job summary

American Technical Services Inc in Wisconsin seeks a versatile shop helper / saw operator to join our metal fabrication team. You will learn to operate a band saw, drill press, grinders, and other shop equipment while contributing to mechanical assembly and material handling.

No prior advanced training required; will train. A valid driver's license and steel-toed shoes are recommended. 1–2 years in manufacturing or shop experience preferred; long-term growth in a growing manufacturer.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in manufacturing or shop experience.
• Valid driver’s license and steel-toed shoes required.
• Will train for saw operation and machine prep.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate saw, drill press and grinder as part of daily shop tasks.
• Assemble and teardown mechanical components.
• Move materials and assist fabrication processes.
• Learn other shop equipment as needed.
