Job summary

GLOTECH, Inc. is seeking Welders to join our team in the San Diego, CA area. Multiple positions are available.

You will apply welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, or repair parts of metal or other weldable materials, working from blueprints and work orders. Responsibilities include laying out parts, positioning pieces in jigs, and inspecting finished work for conformance to specifications while adhering to established safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational training preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Previous welding experience required.
• Ability to obtain a government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Applies welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, or repair parts of metal or other weldable materials.
• Works from blueprints, engineering sketches, charts or work orders.
• Lays out and marks points on parts or subassemblies using ruler, square, scribe or templates.
• Positions pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring tools.
• May inspect completed work for conformance to specifications.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Participates in special projects as required.
