Job summary

GLOTECH, Inc. seeks Welders to join our team in Chesapeake, Virginia. You will apply welding processes, read blueprints, and prepare parts for fabrication or repair in a manufacturing setting.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, prior welding experience, OSHA 10 preferred, and the ability to obtain a government security clearance. Travel to various sites may be required; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Technical or vocational training is preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Previous welding experience is required.
• Possess the ability to obtain a government security clearance.
• Willing to travel to various work sites, including OCONUS may be required.

Responsibilities

• Applies appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, or repair parts of metal or other weldable materials.
• Works from blueprints, engineering sketches, charts or work orders.
• Lays out and marks points on parts or subassemblies using rule, square, scribe or templates.
• Positions pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools.
• May inspect completed work for conformance to specifications.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Participates in special projects as required.
