Description

Introduction: This position reports to the Industrial Engineer. It is responsible for fulfilling all assigned duties with authority delegated according to responsibilities.

Welding Technician: Performs detailed production and preventative maintenance work in the Welding Department, ensuring quality and efficiency across all related areas.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Modify existing weld programs for new and existing weld cells.
  • Maintain automation equipment and tooling.
  • Support production through troubleshooting.
  • Perform daily and monthly maintenance, record-keeping, and operation of welding equipment.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting.
  • Document and perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively regarding machinery concerns, downtime, or issues affecting production.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned that are inherent to the position.
Requirements:
  • Experience in robotic welding and automation.
  • Basic welding knowledge.
  • Entry-level mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • At least 1 year of robot and welding experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks required in manufacturing.
  • Experience with maintenance software.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and maintain excellent attendance.
  • Proficiency with handheld tools and measuring devices.
  • Basic math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn company products, policies, and processes.
  • Understanding of welding processes and safety standards.
Physical Requirements:
  • Work in a manufacturing setting, involving walking, standing, seeing, hearing, using hands, reaching, stooping, bending, twisting, and lifting objects up to 51 lbs.

Employees will be trained according to written work instructions and are expected to perform tasks as instructed. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action, including termination.
