Great Dane is seeking a Welding Technician to join a production team focused on safety and quality in a manufacturing environment. The role offers a 4-day workweek (Mon–Thu) with overtime opportunities and a night shift premium.

Welders set gas, voltage, amperage, and wire speed to produce clean beads across flat, curved, vertical, and overhead joints. The position emphasizes accurate measuring, blueprint interpretation, and maintaining clean, organized workspaces.

Qualifications

• Experience welding in a production environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing orders.
• Good measurement and hand tool accuracy; read tape measures and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Set machine parameters: gas, voltage, amperage, and wire speed.
• Weld in multiple positions including overhead.
• Stage and finish parts, remove burrs, scale, rust, and sharp edges.
• Inspect finished work to SOPs and use straight edge/template for quality checks.
• Move materials safely and support crane operations when needed.
