Job summary

Flex-N-Gate LLC. is seeking a Weld Technician to lead and optimize welding processes and equipment in our manufacturing environment in the United States.

You will manage welding applications across Panasonic, Fanuc, ABB and Nachi robots, and tune PLCs for AB and Omron systems while supporting maintenance teams. The role emphasizes continuous improvement, process control, and collaboration with production to ensure high-quality welds and efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in welding with demonstrated production experience.
• Experience in welding manufacturing and process control.
• Ability to program and troubleshoot PLCs in a welding environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and teamwork orientation.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify and maintain Welding Applications using Panasonic, Fanuc, ABB & Nachi Robotic Welding
• Create, modify and maintain PLC AB & Omron backups for welding equipment
• Modify Weld Schedules/ Setup Parameters for MIG, Spot & Projection Welding
• Modify Weld Fixtures Setup to improve welds/ component position per drawings
• Create and maintain Weld Schedules, Setup/ Changeover and Operator Instructions
• Create and maintain Poke Yoke Systems in Welding Area
• Support Production & Maintenance to troubleshoot and repair Welding Equipment
• Identify & Implement Continuous Improvement Projects for plant efficiency and cost reductions
• Participate in 8D Discipline Report and corrective actions
• Create and update Welding PFMEA for various products
• Participate in new welding equipment selection and proposals
• Analyze and propose improvements to performance indicators for welding
• Validate and maintain welding control parameter records
• Assist in training and methods for welding operations
• Optimize welding consumables performance
• Support Plant Quality System
• Participate in environmental quality systems development
• Commissioning of new welding equipment
