Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation seeks a Weld Team Leader to oversee welding and brazing operations, back up supervisors, and drive efficient line performance. You will coordinate with Supervisors and Leads to meet daily requirements and promote safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a 6G certification, 5+ years of welding experience, and at least 3 years with Carrier. Proficiency in MS Office is expected, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of weld and brazing operations experience.
• 3+ years of service with Carrier.
• 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with Supervisors, Team Leads and others regarding safety, quality, workload, staffing and issues impacting production.
• Solve problems and promote use of CX tools to solve issues.
• Coordinate quality control activities and ensure quality is built into production processes.
• Follow standard work and train others to do the same.
• Coach new technicians to improve skills.
• Work with team to eliminate, prevent and resolve quality issues.
• Drive Carrier Excellence culture and 5S program across the department.
• Monitor work orders and ensure timely completion.
• Make informed decisions quickly and show initiative to improve department performance.
