Air Liquide in Newark, DE is seeking a Research Engineer, Welding to bridge early-stage R&D with customer pilots. You will design and prototype first-of-a-kind welding systems, integrating mechanical components and advanced welding processes for field validation.

The role involves deploying at customer sites, providing lab data, WPS parameters, and hand-off to business-led teams for scale-up, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Mechanical or Welding Engineering.
• Deep understanding of welding processes and OEM landscape.
• 3-5 years of welding and fabrication experience.
• Industrial Robot programming, CAD, 3D Printing, general assembly and machine tools usage.

Responsabilités

• Bridge early-stage R&D innovations with customer pilot deployments.
• Lead end-to-end development of novel welding systems and pilot prototypes.
• Deploy welding technologies at customer pilot sites and hand off to engineering/ops teams.
• Diagnose and resolve welding/process issues during prototyping and testing.
• Collaborate with R&D, sales and manufacturing to ensure scalability and market readiness.
