Job summary

Arcosa Wind Towers, Inc. in Newton, IA is seeking a Weld Supervisor to lead welding operations, train staff, and drive process improvements. You will supervise weld technicians, manage the weld school and ensure adherence to welding codes and specs.

This role reports to the Senior Manager of Welding Engineering, requires 5+ years in welding with supervisory experience, and preferred bilingual Spanish capabilities. It is a full-time position at our Newton facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in welding engineering or engineering technology preferred.
• 5+ years of welding experience with at least 2+ years in supervision.
• AWS CWI or ability to achieve within one year is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of FCAW, SAW, GMAW and welding codes.
• Proficient with AWS D1.1 and visual inspection tools.
• Strong communication; bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Weld technicians and the weld school.
• Provide training, troubleshooting, and process improvements.
• Apply welding codes and specifications; support audits.
• Develop and enhance the plant welding program with leadership.
• Assist in audits and participate in safety activities.
