Commercial Metals Company in Salisbury, NC, seeks a skilled welder/fabrication professional to produce pieces per customer orders, read weld symbols, and maintain quality and safety standards.

The role requires 2+ years of layout and welding experience, the ability to read WPS, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced production environment with focused goals. On-site role with strong teamwork and adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• Two plus years of layout and welding experience.
• Ability to read weld symbols and WPS.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with production goals.
• Use judgment to sequence welds for efficiency and minimize distortion.

Responsibilities

• Achieve the goal of zero accidents by using all protective equipment and suggest safety improvements.
• Produce fabricated pieces in line with customer orders and ensure parts fit within parameters via testing/quality checks.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments.
• Examine work pieces for defects and measure with straightedges/templates to ensure conformance.
• Maintain all tools, machines, and supplies in good, safe working order; report issues immediately.
