Job summary

Commercial Metals Company is hiring an on-site welder with layout experience to produce fabricated pieces per customer orders. You will operate welding equipment, inspect parts for conformance, and maintain tools and safety practices in a fast-paced environment.

Two+ years of layout and welding experience, the ability to read weld symbols, and a proactive approach to quality and efficiency are essential. We offer strong benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of layout and welding experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with production goals.
• Ability to read weld symbols and Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Use of judgment to sequence welds for efficiency and minimize distortion.

Responsibilities

• Achieve zero accidents by using all protective equipment and suggest safety improvements.
• Produce fabricated pieces in line with customer orders and ensure parts fit within specifications via testing/quality checks.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments.
• Examine work pieces for defects and measure pieces to ensure conformance with specs.
• Maintain all tools, machines, and supplies in good, safe working order; report issues immediately.
