Viron International is seeking an experienced Welding Shop Supervisor on 2nd shift in Temple, Texas. This hands-on role requires you to weld alongside the team, manage daily workflow, and ensure quality, safety, and productivity in the welding area.

The ideal candidate is a strong welder with leadership experience who can guide a manufacturing team, read blueprints and tape measures, and deliver results while maintaining a safe shop floor.

Qualifications

• Hands-on TIG welding experience, especially with stainless steel.
• Experience reading blueprints and using measuring tools.
• 2–3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong welding-first mindset with leadership reliability.
• Ability to coach and supervise while performing welding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Weld and fabricate stainless steel components as part of daily workload.
• Perform TIG welding and fabrication tasks on the shop floor.
• Cut, form, grind, drill, and fit fabrications to spec.
• Read measurements, blueprints and work instructions.
• Inspect completed welding work for quality.
• Provide hands-on guidance and coach welders; manage workflow and bottlenecks.
• Maintain an organized, safe, productive work area.

Viron International is looking for an experienced** Welding Shop Supervisor- 2nd Shift to join ourstainless steel weldingteam in Temple, Texas. This is a hands-on working supervisor position. The person in this role will weld alongside the team while also helping manage the daily flow of work, priorities, quality, safety and productivity in the welding area. Especially while the team is being fully staffed, this Supervisor should expect to spend a significant portion of the day actively TIG welding and fabricating**, not simply overseeing others.We are looking for someone who is a strong welder first, but who also has the leadership skills and reliability needed to keep a manufacturing team organized and productive.Hands-On Welding & Fabrication- Perform TIG welding as part of the regular production workloadWeld and fabricate stainless steel componentsCut, form, grind, drill, fit and fabricate sheet metal components and ductworkUse shop equipment and hand tools including grinders, saws, drills, plasma torches, shears, brakes, rollers and other fabrication equipmentRead measurements, work instructions and basic blueprintsInspect completed welding and fabrication work for quality**Team & Production Leadership **While working alongside the team, the Supervisor will also:- Keep an eye on the overall workflow of the welding areaAssign and prioritize work based on production needs and help ensure jobs move through the department efficientlyIdentify bottlenecks or production problems and help resolve themProvide hands-on guidance and technical support to weldersTrain and coach less experienced employeesMaintain an organized, safe and productive work areaWhat We Are Looking For- Strong hands-on TIG welding experienceExperience welding and fabricating stainless steel strongly preferred2–3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environmentComfortable being both a welder and a leaderAbility to read a tape measure, blueprints and use measuring tools accuratelyComfortable coaching employees and addressing performance issues when necessaryPhysical & Work Environment RequirementsThis is an active shop-floor role in a manufacturing environment.The position requires the ability to:- Stand, walk and work throughout the manufacturing facility for extended periodsPerform welding and fabrication work throughout the shiftLift up to 50 lbs. as neededWork around welding and fabrication equipment and varying temperaturesWear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Pay & BenefitsSalary: $34-$38/hour, based on experience.Viron offers eligible full-time employees:- Weekly payHealth insuranceVision insuranceDental insurance401(k)Life insuranceShort-term disabilityPaid vacationPaid holidays
