Job summary

HTC Global Services is seeking a Production Supervisor in Sterling Heights, MI to manage small work teams in a fast-paced, unionized manufacturing setting. You will oversee safety, training, manpower allocation, and drive continuous improvement to meet quality and throughput targets.

The role requires strong communication, ability to lead shifts, and hands-on knowledge of manufacturing equipment and automation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work any shift and overtime as required.
• Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with employees at various levels within a manufacturing facility.
• Ability to build effective business relationships with plant leadership and customers.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Goal-oriented self-starter with the ability to lead teams.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining a strong sense of urgency and responsiveness to production needs.
• Ability to spend extended periods on the production floor, including walking throughout the facility and climbing stairs as required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production issues to meet plans and drive continuous improvements.
• Own safety, quality, and throughput targets for the area.
• Lead safety improvements and enforce safety tools and procedures.
• Analyze production losses and apply manufacturing methodologies to improve.
• Understand process flow and bottlenecks to minimize downtime.
• Review quality KPIs and guide Team Leaders on issues.
• Allocate production staff, manage absenteeism, train teams.
• Mobilize support groups to aid problem solving.
• Apply knowledge of equipment, conveyors, automation to operations.
• Lead kaizen activities focused on safety, cost, quality, throughput, waste.
• Respond to interruptions and maintain output targets.
• Demonstrate accountability and customer-focused issue resolution.
