Technique is seeking a Robot Weld Tech Lead to join our Jackson, Michigan facility. You will lead day-to-day activity in the robot welding department, acting as the person in charge when the manager is unavailable and ensuring smooth production flow.

Responsibilities include production planning, scheduling, and driving process improvements while training and evaluating new employees, troubleshooting PLC controls, and maintaining adherence to our QMS processes.

Qualifications

• Advanced understanding of PLC controls to find faults and change out control relays.
• Advanced GD&T understanding required.
• Ability to use E2 to locate build information and process flow.
• Ability to train, evaluate, and lead employees in the department.

Responsibilities

• Train and evaluate new employees in the department and complete reviews.
• Lead by example and set the standard for quality and professionalism.
• Serve as person in charge when the manager is unavailable.
• Pull parts proactively to keep work flowing.
• Plan builds with Materials and use customer master sheet for planning.
• Production planning and scheduling to meet customer expectations.
• Drive process improvements within the department.
• Write work instructions for the department.
• Support HR in all functions and documents.
• Multitask and delegate to keep production flowing.
• Follow Technique QMS requirements and processes.
