TAS, a Houston-based company, seeks a Welder Auditor/Tester to lead welding tests for candidate eligibility and to audit welding operations for compliance with procedures. Qualifications

• 2+ years welding experience with welding standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Administer welding tests to determine candidate eligibility.
• Coordinate NDT methods with Welding Coordinator as needed.
• Conduct daily weld audits for procedure and qualification compliance.
• Issue and recycle welders stamps; log welder continuity records.
• Maintain calibration logs and welding machine calibrations.
• Document inspection results and generate reports on qualifications.
• Maintain welding consumable and parent material logs.
• Interface with other departments to obtain necessary reports.
• Promote safety practices and address welding hazards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Welding Coordinator.
