Job summary

Audubon Companies in Houston, TX seeks a Quality Control Inspector to perform in-process and final inspections of fabricated pipe spools and structural components to customer specs and company work instructions.

You will document inspections per procedures and control plans, report deficiencies to the QC Manager, and help maintain calibration and witness welders' qualifications as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience evaluating quality and codes issues.
• Read and interpret structural steel blueprints.
• Ability to complete documentation accurately and maintain traceability.
• Knowledge of inspection tools and measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform 100% visual inspection of welds in final structural/piping elements.
• Report quality deficiencies to QC Manager and track defects per weld.
• Ensure adherence to Quality Control Program by supervisors and staff.
• Receive project instructions from QC Manager and perform tests accordingly.
• Collaborate with other departments and suppliers on quality concerns.
• Maintain equipment operation and calibration.
• Assist with welders' qualifications and related records.
