Job summary

Wagstaff, Inc. is hiring a Welding Inspector to join our Quality Assurance team in a manufacturing setting. You will inspect weldments and materials, perform NDE (MT/VT/PT) and dimensional checks, and help ensure product quality and safety.

You will communicate issues, generate reports, and support ERP/QMS processes while contributing to continuous improvement. Minimum two years’ weld fabrication experience and ability to read blueprints are required; AWS D1.1 knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS D1.1 welding code.
• Minimum two years’ weld fabrication experience as welder or inspector.
• Able to read blueprints and weld symbols; use inspection tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspect weldments, parts, materials for quality and compliance.
• Perform MT, VT, PT and dimensional inspections.
• Audit welder performance for compliance.
• Communicate quality issues to coworkers and management.
• Maintain and distribute quality reports and data.
• Use ERP and QMS systems to process quality information.
• Support cross-training and specialized inspections.
• Assist with continuous improvement and corrective actions.
