Tidewater Tech in Norfolk, VA seeks a Program Coordinator to assist in coordinating all program aspects, supervising faculty and staff, and handling daily operations.

This role supports curriculum development, class scheduling, student progress tracking, and compliance with DOE/ACB standards. The position offers up to $69,500 annually and requires flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist Program Coordinator in managing all aspects of the program and staff.
• Support curriculum development, course materials, scheduling, and equipment.
• Complete instructor and course content evaluations regularly.
• Lead faculty meetings and participate in professional training events.
• Take minutes and document meetings accordingly.
• Assist in staff hiring, disciplinary actions, and staffing decisions.
• Assign classes and teaching duties; substitute as needed.
• Provide tutoring and academic support to students.
• Advise students on academics and behavior, track progress.
• Audit curricula for current syllabi, plans, and textbooks.
• Ensure compliance with education laws, regulations, and accrediting bodies.
• Monitor student performance on projects and curricula compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Campus Nexus and other systems.
• Oversee supplies, equipment, and tool inventory; arrange purchases.
• Assist in or manage design and fabrication training aids.
• Collaborate with Education leadership on training aids and curriculum.
• Ensure safety compliance (OSHA) and hazard control effectiveness.
• Assist in equipment training, certification, or inspections.
• Mentor new employees and support onboarding and culture.
• Support FAA knowledge and exam readiness in a timely manner.
• Provide tutoring and structured support for at-risk students.
• Track FAA certification readiness and outcomes.
• Maintain academic records, attendance, and staff reports.
