Job summary

Jefferson Industries Corporation in West Jefferson, NC, is seeking a Production Coordinator for the Welding Department on the 1st Shift (Mon-Fri, 6:00 am–2:30 pm). You will support safety, quality, and delivery by coordinating production activities and mentoring weld Associates.

You will supervise 20–40 weld associates, oversee overtime scheduling, and ensure training adherence while driving continuous improvement through CAPDo and daily performance reviews.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; related experience preferred.
• Experience in welding or manufacturing environments is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and promote safety.

Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce safety programs within the Weld Department.
• Guide quality, cost, and delivery targets; monitor performance metrics.
• Oversee production planning, manpower, material, and tooling requirements; coordinate with other functions.
