Job summary

KLA Industries, Inc. is seeking a Welding Engineer to develop, optimize, and support welding processes in a vehicle manufacturing environment. You will partner with Engineering, Production, and Quality to ensure weld quality and support new product launches.

The role emphasizes MIG, TIG, and resistance welding; setting parameters and standards; root cause analysis of defects; compliance with AWS, ISO, IATF 16949; and applying Lean and Six Sigma to reduce waste and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding, Mechanical, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years welding engineering experience in manufacturing.
• AWS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize MIG, TIG, and resistance welding processes.
• Define and maintain welding parameters, procedures, and standards.
• Investigate welding defects with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with AWS, ISO, and IATF 16949 standards.
• Conduct weld audits and support PFMEA and control plans.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma to reduce waste and costs.
