Job summary

Talent Solutions Partners is seeking a Welding Engineer to develop, optimize, and support MIG, TIG, and resistance welding processes in a vehicle manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to ensure weld quality and support new product launches.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, at least 3 years in welding engineering, and hands-on knowledge of GD&T, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MS Office. AWS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in welding engineering or weld process development within a manufacturing setting; AWS certification preferred.
• Familiarity with GD&T, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MS Office; strong weld procedure development and defect analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize MIG, TIG, and resistance welding processes.
• Define and maintain welding parameters, procedures, and standards.
• Investigate welding defects, lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with AWS, ISO, and IATF 16949 industry standards.
• Conduct weld audits, support PPAP submissions, and develop PFMEAs and control plans.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to reduce waste, cycle time, and consumable costs.
