Job summary

DANA CANADA CORP. in Louisville, KY, seeks a Welding Process Engineer to lead and optimize MIG, Friction, and Resistance welding operations.

You will develop, validate, and maintain welding procedures, control plans, and process documentation to assure product quality and production efficiency. You will coordinate AIAG CQI-15 assessments, drive lean initiatives, analyze data trends, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Maintenance to support new product launches and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of applicable experience.
• 3+ years of experience in welding or manufacturing.
• Proficiency in data analysis and problem solving.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical expert for MIG, Friction, and Resistance welding.
• Develop and improve welding processes for quality and efficiency.
• Lead annual AIAG CQI-15 Welding System Assessment and maintain compliance.
• Establish welding parameters, control plans, and process docs.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Quality, Production, and Maintenance teams.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Support safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
