Job summary

Graham Corporation is seeking a Weld Engineer to translate customer specs and welding codes into fabrication work orders. You will partner with Quality and Project Engineering to ensure alignment of quality and fabrication requirements and manage multiple welding projects to meet delivery schedules.

The role requires experience with welding procedures, codes, and documentation, and it operates within a shop and office setting at our Batavia facility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of on the job experience in lieu of formal education.
• Degree requirements and welding knowledge stated above.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize welding processes and procedures.
• Review customer specifications to define welding and manufacturing requirements.
• Develop and qualify PQRs and WPSs.
• Design and improve workflow layouts and work instructions for welding operations.
• Evaluate and select welding equipment.
• Troubleshoot welding defects and quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with welding codes and standards.
• Maintain records of welding procedures and welder qualifications.
