Job summary

Steel Tech Building Systems is seeking a welder to join our manufacturing team in Monett, MO. The role focuses on welding to Steel Tech and IAS standards, reading shop prints, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

You will operate welding equipment and cranes to position beams, perform back-gouging, and conduct quality checks to ensure adherence to job specifications. Teamwork and adherence to procedures are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and shop prints.
• Skilled in operating tools, machinery, and welding equipment.
• Must understand IAS/AWS standards and procedures.
• Capable of maintaining focus and planning ahead.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a non climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Weld material according to shop prints.
• Use cranes to rotate beams.
• Perform back-gouging as required.
• Quality check finished work to meet Steel Tech standards.
• Track wins, issues, and quantities.
