Goetsch's Welding & Machine, Inc. in Merrill, WI is hiring Welders for either the 1st shift (5am–3pm) or the 2nd shift (3pm–1am) with a $2/hr differential on the second shift.

This full-time role involves performing manual and robotic welding to support production of high-quality metal parts in a clean, well-lit facility. You will set up equipment, inspect welds, read blueprints, and collaborate with teammates to meet deadlines while following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience welding in a manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with various metals, their properties, and welding characteristics.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings to understand project specifications and requirements.
• Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up welding equipment and select appropriate tools and materials based on the type and thickness of metal being welded.
• Inspect welds for defects and make necessary repairs or adjustments to ensure high quality and structural integrity.
• Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to meet production goals and complete projects within designated timelines.
• Comply with all safety regulations and guidelines to promote a safe working environment.
