IQ Resource Group, Inc. is hiring Robotic Welders for Mayville, WI. The role involves operating weld machines to fabricate metal parts to spec, with shifts on 2nd and 3rd depending on area and experience.

Pay ranges by experience ($19.50–$20 for limited experience; $24–$25 for skilled welders) plus a $2/hr shift differential on 2nd and 3rd shifts. Training on 3rd shift may occur; overtime is 10-hour shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an internal welding test.
• Knowledge of fixtures and weld setup parameters (amps, volts, etc.).
• Basic understanding of computers and ability to perform computer functions.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
• Demonstrated detail orientation and ability to multi-task.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Competent at basic dimensional measuring and learning precision tools.
• Strong shop math and efficiency in work pace.

Responsibilities

• Operate weld machines to fabricate metal parts per specs.
• Load/unload parts, set controls for wire speed, amperage, gas type.
• Inspect work pieces for conformance and adjust as needed.
• Read specifications and determine welding type and material needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area.

• Train on second or third shifts when needed.

Job description

IQ Resource Group is hiring Robotic Welders in Mayville, WI. We are seeking moderate to highly skilled individuals to fill openings on 2nd and 3rd shift. Pay based on experience!

Position Summary:

The Robotic Welder is primarily responsible for operating one or more weld machines to fabricate metal parts or assemblies to specifications applying to basic knowledge of welding theory on production basis.

Pay:

• $19.50/$20 per hour for limited experience
• $24/$25 per hour for skilled Welders
• Once hired on, there is a $2/hr shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts

Shift (depends on work area assigned):

• 2nd shift: 2pm to 10pm Monday thru Friday OR 2nd shift: 2:30pm to 11pm Monday thru Friday
• 3rd shift: 10pm to 6am Sunday thru Thursday OR 3rd shift: 9:30pm to 6am Sunday thru Thursday
• Overtime:Overtime would be 10-hour shifts as needed
• Training:3rd shift may need to train on 1st or 2nd shift depending on experience level

Responsibilities

• Lifts work piece manually or using hoist and secures work piece in fixture or loads automatic feeding device.
• Calculates and sets controls to regulate machine factors, such as wire feed speed, amperage, polarity, type of gas, and type of weld rod.
• Inspects and measures machined work pieces to verify conformance to specifications.
• Unload welded frames from robotic welder and place on appropriate containers.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
• Remove rough spots from workpieces, using portable grinders, hand files, or scrapers.
• Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders, or arc-cutting equipment.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Performs all functions involved in operation of robotic welder, including: programming, touch point, and operations corrections.
• Maintains accurate counts of parts; attaches labels or tags to finished part containers identifying customer, part number, quantity and shop order information.
• Performs basic MIG and TIG welding techniques as needed.
• Maintains company quality, efficiency, and productivity standards.
• Reads job specifications (e.g. blueprints, quality control plans and/or traveler notes) to determine type of welding and material requirements.
• Examines finished work pieces to verify conformance with specifications according to operator inspection sheet, quality control plans and/or customer notes using instruments such as gauges.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• May perform other related duties or work at different workstations as production needs require.

Physical Demands

• Moderate to heavy physical effort required to perform the basis essentials of the job. Frequently required to bend and stoop. Specific vision abilities required: close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
