Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions in Houston, TX is seeking a temporary 2nd shift welding operator to set up, operate, or tend welding, soldering, or brazing machines for metal products, components, or assemblies. The role runs on a 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM schedule, Monday through Friday, with potential for full-time hire with benefits.

You will turn knobs, load parts, align fixtures, and monitor equipment while ensuring accuracy by reading blueprints and production schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial environment advantageous.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and production documents.

Responsibilities

• Turn and press knobs or enter operating instructions into welding machines.
• Set up, operate, or tend welding machines that join components.
• Load or feed work pieces into welding machines.
• Correct problems by adjusting controls or stopping machines as needed.
• Inspect, measure, or test finished parts for conformance.
• Record production information on reports and read schedules.
