Job summary

Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC) is seeking a Part-Time Welding and Joining Lab Technician to be located on the Walker County Campus, with travel to other campuses as needed. The role reports to the Dean of Industrial Technologies and typically works evening hours; in-person work is required.

Qualified applicants will be former or currently enrolled welding students or have paid welding experience in the last seven years, with knowledge of welding shop equipment and safety.

Qualifications

• Welding shop equipment knowledge and safety awareness required.
• Must be or have been a welding student with experience in the past seven years.
• Able to work well with other students.

Responsibilities

• Ensure lab equipment is secure and operable for student instruction.
• Inventory lab supplies and inform instructors when stock is low.
• Distribute lab supplies to students during instruction.
• Maintain a clean, safe welding lab environment.
• Assist students as requested by the instructor.
