Qualifications

• Minimum: high school diploma and advanced skill level in precision machine shop operations.
• Preferred: Associate degree in Welding Technology or related field with four years of related work experience; or high school diploma with ten years welding training and instruction experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain welding laboratory facilities, equipment, tools, and instructional resources, including purchasing, installing, operating, troubleshooting, and repairing laboratory equipment.
• Order, receive, inventory, and stock welding consumables and supplies for program operations.
• Teach assigned welding courses as needed, maintain attendance and records, and evaluate student performance.
• Lead troubleshooting and repair of complex welding and electromechanical equipment, coordinating with vendors and tech support.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with Facilities and support timely maintenance and repair projects.
• Collaborate with EH&S to ensure safety standards compliance and address safety concerns.
• Supervise work-study students and assist faculty with program and lab operations.
