Chattahoochee Technical College invites applications for a part-time Welding and Joining Technology Adjunct Instructor at the Appalachian campus. The instructor will deliver lectures and labs, guide students in welding fundamentals, and support the Diploma/TCC program.

Under supervision of the Associate Dean, you will manage lab safety, grade, advise students, and maintain required documentation. This is a per-term adjunct role with no guaranteed renewal.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualification: Diploma in Welding Technology from a technical or community college.
  • Official transcripts may be requested; Ga@Work system required.
  • Preferred: Associate degree in related field and relevant training certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Lecture, lab, and instructional activities for Welding Technology.

After initial screening, additional documentation may be requested.POSITION DESCRIPTION : Part-time position available as Adjunct faculty. Part-time position based on semester system. Under supervision of the Associate Dean of Computers, Engineering & Manufacturing and the Dean of Business and Technical Studies, the instructor will be responsible for providing guidance and instruction necessary to prepare students with the technical competencies essential as a welding technician. The adjunct instructor will perform all aspects of instruction as an adjunct instructor for the Welding Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) and/or Diploma program. Duties include: lecture, lab, instructional activities, student advisement, evaluating students’ progress, maintaining all required documentation, performs, and/or supervises lab set up/take down and ensures lab safety requirements and other duties as defined by The Technical College System of Georgia.NOTE: Adjunct Instructors are part-time positions of employment appointed on a per academic term basis. Therefore, your employment is limited, and there is no expectation that your association with Chattahoochee Tech will be extended beyond this term.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Educational Level: This position requires a minimum of a Diploma in Welding Technology from a Technical or Community College.Applicant must meet the minimum requirements before scheduling an interview.Applicant is responsible for ensuring official/unofficial transcripts are on Ga@WorkPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:A preference is given to applicants having an Associate Degree in a related field.Two years industry experience in welding field and/or relevant training certifications are preferredSALARY/BENEFITS: Amount varies per course.
