Job summary

West Georgia Technical College seeks an Adjunct Welding and Joining Instructor to deliver theory and practical training in Welding and Joining Technology. The role focuses on instruction aligned with industry standards and hands-on lab work across campus settings.

The position is part-time and temporary, with pay at $40.00 per hour for training hours. Suitable candidates will have a Welding/Joining Diploma, AWS credentials, and relevant teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Welding and Joining Technology or related diploma/degree from an accredited institution.
• Three (3) years out of the past seven (7) years of experience in welding and joining.
• Must be able to pass the AWS welding test; some locations will require an additional pipe welding test.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in Welding and Joining Technology per industry standards.
• Maintain current knowledge of welding trends and developments.
• Instruct in classroom and lab environments simulating industry settings.
• Deliver instruction face-to-face, blended, on-campus, and mobile labs as needed.
• Prepare customized training plans for corporate or community customers.
• Assess student progress and return timely grades per standards.
• Utilize current classroom and lab technology.
