Job summary

West Georgia Technical College is seeking a Welding Adjunct Instructor, MT&T to teach Welding and Joining Technology at multiple campus sites. Compensation is $27.00 per hour, with instruction delivered in face-to-face or blended formats and courses offered per-semester as adjunct, part-time positions.

The role involves preparing syllabi, assessing student progress, maintaining equipment safety, and staying current with welding trends.

Qualifications

Diploma in Welding and Joining Technology or related diploma/degree from an accredited institution.
Three (3) years of experience in welding and joining.
Must be able to pass a welding test; some locations will require an additional pipe welding test.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Provides instruction in the theory and practical applications of Welding and Joining Technology.
Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in Welding and Joining Technology.
Instructs courses in a classroom and lab environment that closely simulates the industry.
Instructs face-to-face, blended, or on-campus sessions as needed.
Prepare standardized course syllabi using the provided template.
Assesses student progress based on established grading requirements; grades all coursework.
Utilizes current technology in the classroom and lab.
Maintains program certification/accreditation requirements.
