Job summary

Texas State Technical College (TSTC) is seeking an Instructor to deliver approved welding curriculum in an applied learning environment. The role includes facilitating activities, mentoring students, and integrating technology to enhance experiences.

The ideal candidate has verifiable welding industry experience and can train in GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, as well as cutting processes. This position supports evening/weekend duties and college-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

• Verifiable industrial work experience in the welding and fabrication industry.
• Must be knowledgeable and proficient in GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW on plate and pipe; knowledge in plasma and oxy-acetylene cutting procedures.
• Successful completion of supervised Weld Test on site.
• Proficient at blueprint reading and pipefitting theory and its application.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver high quality instruction and facilitate the learning of students.
• Fulfill assigned schedule and maintain accurate student records with emphasis on safety and equipment security.
• Support student growth through mentorship, feedback, and advisory services.
