Job summary

Northeastern Technical College (NETC) is seeking a Welding Instructor to deliver course materials using multi-modal instructional strategies in classrooms and laboratories, while guiding students in their personal and professional development and maintaining up-to-date lab equipment.

The role requires an Associate Degree in Welding (or Diploma with extensive welding experience), proficiency in ARC, MIG, TIG, and related processes, and willingness to travel to partner sites.

Qualifications

• Welding degrees or diplomas with extensive welding experience.
• Proficiency in ARC, MIG, TIG, flux core, pipe welding and cutting processes.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector is preferred; teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Present course materials through instructional strategies in classrooms and labs.
• Assist students in personal and professional development.
• Develop, revise, and maintain courses and curriculum with objectives, outlines and methods; ensure safety and up-to-date lab equipment.
• Utilize office hours effectively and provide student advising for completion.
• Participate in college activities and promote NETC with industry partners.
• Develop professional skills to maintain job proficiency.
• All other duties assigned by the Dean of Workforce and Continuing Education.
