Job summary

Northeastern Technical College (NETC) is seeking a Welding Instructor to teach, develop materials, advise students and support college administration. The instructor will collaborate with colleagues and participate in committees to advance workforce education.

The role requires presenting course content through multi-modal instruction and labs, assisting students with personal and professional development, maintaining safety and equipment, and contributing to curriculum development and program

Qualifications

Associate Degree in Welding with 5 years welding experience or Diploma with 8+ years welding experience.
Proficiency in ARC, MIG, TIG, Flux Core, Pipe welding (high pressure), Gas welding and Gas/plasma cutting.
Preferred AWS Certified Welding Inspector and teaching experience.

Responsibilities

Present course materials through appropriate instructional strategies to facilitate the learning process through multi-modalities and laboratory environments.
Assist students in personal and professional development.
Develop, revise and maintain courses and curriculum through objectives, outlines and appropriate instructional methods; ensure classroom safety and up-to-date lab equipment; provide timely reports.
Utilize office hours for student advising and ensure student completion.
Participate in college activities and NETC promotions.
Engage in activities to develop professional skills and maintain job proficiency.
Undertake other duties assigned by the Dean of Workforce and Continuing Education.
