Job summary

Western Piedmont Community College (WPCC) seeks a student-centered, innovative, and collaborative Instructor of Welding to join our nine-month, full-time faculty. This position provides high-quality classroom and hands-on laboratory instruction preparing students for careers in welding and related industries.

Under the supervision of the Department Head, the instructor teaches welding courses, develops syllabi and labs, ensures safety, and supports student success, credential attainment, and

Qualifications

• Minimum credentials per NC Community College System and WPCC for Welding courses.
• Experience in welding and related equipment, safety practices, and industry standards.
• Experience with curriculum development and student learning outcomes assessment.

Responsibilities

• Teach welding courses using effective classroom and hands-on laboratory strategies.
• Develop and maintain course syllabi, lesson plans, labs, and assessments.
• Maintain current knowledge of welding processes, equipment, and safety practices.
