Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) is seeking an Instructor - Welding for the West Hills Center in Pittsburgh. This temporary full‑time position teaches welding courses, develops curriculum, and supports student outcomes within a 10‑month academic calendar.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and 8 years’ experience with AWS, ASME and API certifications for select courses.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Full-time faculty require all welding certifications.

Responsibilities

• Teach and develop curriculum.
• Create and deliver learning experiences that support students in achieving learning outcomes.
• Employ teaching methods to design and maintain an engaging learning environment.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to promote growth and academic success.
• Cultivate a classroom environment that reflects the college’s mission and values.
• Participate in program and discipline activities related to curriculum development and implementation.
• Contribute to program reviews and strategic planning by offering recommendations on curriculum, staffing, facilities, and equipment.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to deepen expertise in the discipline, enhance instructional strategies, and stay informed about trends in education.
• Effectively integrate educational technology tools into teaching.
• Attend department, division, campus, and college meetings and committees.
