Jefferson Community and Technical College is seeking a full-time Welding Instructor to teach welding within Jefferson County, Oldham County, Shelby County, and Carroll County as needed. Classes will be taught on one of our campuses and in a correctional institution as part of the college’s Prison Education Program.
This position begins fall of 2026. The instructor will teach welding across SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and cutting, with a focus on student learning outcomes and proper safety protocols.

3 years welding experience in SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and Oxyfuel Cutting
Associate degree in Welding Technology, 3+ years of Field Experience; Pipe fitting and pipe welding are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly involves lifting, bending, or other physical exertions – often exposed to disagreeable environmental elements (heat, cold, dirt, chemicals, etc.)
