Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of welding experience in a professional setting.
• Previous teaching or training experience preferred.
• CWI or CWE credentials preferred.
• Relevant welding certifications (AWS, ASME) highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Teach welding techniques including MIG, TIG, Stick, and FCAW.
• Develop and deliver curriculum aligned with industry standards and certification requirements.
• Conduct classroom instruction and hands-on training in the welding lab.
• Evaluate student performance through practical tests, exams, and assignments.
• Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements.
• Enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe learning environment.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and facilities.
• Stay updated on industry safety standards and implement them in the curriculum.
• Develop and update course materials, lesson plans, and instructional aids.
• Collaborate with other instructors and industry professionals to keep curriculum relevant.
• Oversee maintenance and proper use of welding equipment and tools.
• Arrange for repair or replacement of faulty equipment as needed.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in welding technology.
• Provide guidance and support to students pursuing welding certifications.
