We are looking for an individual with a positive attitude and great work ethic. You will have to work hard, but you will reap the rewards of truly changing lives.

The Welding Instructor administers lessons according to a pre-developed lesson plan, and then leads students through practical application of those lessons.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain accurate record keeping as it applies to student attendance and grades.
2. Create and maintain a safe environment at all times.
3. Manage tools assigned to the classroom and issue, inspect, repair, and teach proper handling of tools.
4. Maintain control of student activities and ensure compliance with school policies and rules.
5. Ensure an ethical and fair testing environment during periods of testing.
6. Maintain classroom equipment through evaluation, inspection, parts ordering, and repair.
7. Constantly evaluate curriculum to ensure relevance and maintain a working field knowledge through continuing education.
8. Conform to prescribed methods of record keeping as directed by supervisory staff.
9. Communicate promptly regarding supplies, tools or other essentials for students in the classroom.
10. Demonstrate continuing professional development of technical expertise and as an instructor.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Education & Experience:

1. Minimum of five years of welding field experience.
2. Demonstrated leadership skills; ability to work individually and within a group.
3. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
4. Excellent written and communication skills.
5. Established customer service background.
6. Computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required.
7. Candidates must be able to successfully pass a criminal history check and drug test.
