Job summary

SQA Services is seeking a details-oriented Welding Inspector to ensure quality, compliance, and traceability of welded components on-site at customer locations. The role covers inspection, documentation review, and reporting to support supplier quality activities.

The position is 5 days a week on site, 7:30pm–6am, and runs for a 6-month contract. Candidates should have 3–5 years of welding inspection experience and relevant AWS training or certifications.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting structural welds per AWS D1.1 criteria.
• Ability to review welding documentation and ensure compliance.
• Knowledge of weld symbols, fabrication drawings and inspection tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform VT visual inspections of structural welds to AWS D1.1 criteria.
• Verify weld profiles, weld size and contour; inspect fillet and groove welds.
• Review WPS documentation and welder qualifications for accuracy.
• Generate inspection reports and nonconformance documentation.
• Coordinate with NDE personnel and support root cause investigations.
