Job summary

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector in South Point, OH to verify welding bonds on job sites, review fabrication drawings, and ensure compliance with AWS D1.1 and ASME standards.

You will perform welder qualification tests, craft inspection reports, and communicate with Project Managers, shops, clients and other inspectors while enforcing safety policies on all activities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of AWS D1.1 and ASME welding standards.
• Ability to read and interpret written specifications for work orders.
• Experience with quality/inspection processes and various NDT methods.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordination with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Inspect welding bonds on job sites and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• Perform welder qualification tests and visual weld exams.
• Review fabrication and field erection drawings for compliance.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports in a timely manner.
• Enforce company safety policies and ensure safe welding practices.
