Job summary

Insight Global seeks a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI/CAWI) for field-based inspection work across West Texas, focusing on structural steel and welding in commercial construction and data center projects. The role emphasizes AWS D1.1 compliance, accurate reporting, and client communication.

Qualifications

• 1+ year welding inspection experience.
• Experience with AWS D1.1.
• Ability to work independently in a field/construction environment.
• 40–60 hours per week, depending on project needs, including overnight or off-shift work.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual welding inspections on structural steel in accordance with AWS D1.1.
• Inspect welds, materials, fabrication, and steel erection work for compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Identify deficiencies and nonconforming work and communicate findings to project personnel.
• Complete accurate daily field and inspection reports.
• Review welding procedures, welder qualifications, and related documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, field teams, and project leadership.
• Travel to regional project sites as needed.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and professional client communication.
