Job summary

Waterstone Human Capital is seeking a skilled Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for a fabrication team in Ogden, Utah. You will lead weld inspections from fit-up through final, ensuring every piece meets code and project specifications before leaving the shop.

You bring a current CWI credential, 2–3 years welding-related experience, and solid knowledge of AWS D1.1. Strong documentation, math, and data-entry skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) credential.
• 2–3 years of experience in welding or a related field.
• Solid working knowledge of AWS D1.1.
• Pass Jaeger J1 visual acuity exam; high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-process and final weld inspections and document findings in detailed reports.
• Confirm weld quality meets company standards, project specs, and AWS D1.1.
• Hold employees and departments to company procedures and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and communicate issues for correction.
• Serve as a quality resource for welders and fabricators on the shop floor.

Your Role:
