Job summary

Qualifications

• Earned associate degree in Welding required; bachelor’s degree in Welding Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of verified welding experience, including current welding practices and safety standards.
• AWS credentials such as Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) preferred.
• Experience with online, hybrid, or technology-enhanced instruction, including learning management systems preferred.
• Spanish or French language proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet with assigned class(es) at all scheduled times and locations.
• Notify Dean in event of cancellation or absence.
• Prepare and distribute course syllabus detailing attendance, evaluation, and performance policies.
• Provide educational, vocational, and social counseling to students.
• Work with Student Support Services to improve access and participation.
• Enforce college regulations concerning student behavior.
• Submit attendance, midterm lists, and final grades timely.
• Maintain equipment and contribute to program assessment and curriculum updates.
• Participate in student recruitment and enrollment initiatives.
• Spend required time on campus and participate in committees.
