Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED in welding or equivalent experience.
• 1 year of MIG or TIG welding experience.
• Ability to read drawings and blueprints.
• Pass pre-employment weld test; maintain welding proficiency.
• Operate forklifts, cranes and hand trucks safely.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fit, weld components including pipe and heavy structures.
• Study drawings and specs to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Set up welding equipment (TIG/MIG) and sheet metal work.
• Inspect work for dimensional accuracy and quality.
• Coordinate with engineers to resolve issues.
