Job summary

WMP in Wisconsin is seeking a focused layout Welder to join our welding team. You will perform MIG and TIG welds, read blueprints, and support the fabrication department in a job shop setting, with emphasis on reducing setup times and improving efficiency.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of open-table fit-up experience, strong blueprint interpretation, and the ability to stand for long periods while lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MIG and TIG welding on various materials.
• 5+ years of open table fit-up experience.
• Strong blueprint reading and weld symbol interpretation.
• Able to stand 8–10 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• MIG or TIG welding and fit up on new or repeat weldments
• Reading/interpret blueprints as needed to part features, dimensions, & tolerances
• Completing all inspection and quality processes as required per weldment/job
• Troubleshooting or making adjustments as needed per job
• Maintaining production and fit up rate/speed consistently across jobs or parts
• Performing routine daily cell & machine maintenance
