Sage Oil Vac, Inc. seeks a Welder Helper to support the welding and fabrication team in producing high-quality fluid handling equipment.

The role involves preparing materials, assisting with welding operations, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment on the shop floor. Key duties include assisting with cutting, operating shop tools, reading drawings, selecting wires and fillers, and helping with grinding while adhering to safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and welding symbols.
• Basic understanding of MIG, TIG, and STICK welding processes.

Responsabilidades

• Assist welders with cutting structural steel and operating shears, rolls, and tank fit-up tools.
• Support the use and maintenance of welding equipment, including setup and basic troubleshooting.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and welding symbols.
• Assist in selecting and preparing wire and filler materials for various steel alloys and aluminum.
• Operate conventional and precision measuring instruments as directed.
• Help with finish grinding applications using manual and power tools.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area per safety standards.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by area supervisor.
